Item 9*I — inspect for wear and proper lubrication.
The rear shock absorber is filled with high pressure gas. Never attempt to dis-
assemble it or throw it into a fire. Avoid storing it near a heater or heating device.
When scrapping the absorber, place it with its side down, and make a 3-mm-
diameter hole in the area indicated by the arrow so the gas and oil can escape safe-
ly. Be careful when making the hole, or the gas may spurt out. It is advisable to
cover the absorber with a vinyl bag having a 10-mm-diameter hole.
