OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR LIGHT 

D

The oil pressure indicator light comes on
when the engine oil pressure is below the
normal operating range. The indicator light
comes on when the ignition switch is turned
on and the engine is not running. As soon as
the engine starts, the indicator light should
go off.

CAUTION

Riding the motorcycle when the oil pres-
sure indicator light is lit can damage the
engine and transmission.

Whenever the oil pressure indicator
lights up, indicating low oil pressure,
stop the engine immediately. Check the
oil level and make sure the proper
amount of oil is in the engine. If the light
still does not go out, have your autho-
rized SUZUKI dealer or a qualified
mechanic troubleshoot your motorcycle.
