FORMATION

"PEI" SYSTEM

I n the

FZSO

ignition system, the P E I system is used.

The PE I system uses a magneto as the power sou rce, and the capacitor ( condenser) momenta ri ly

stores a cha rge up to hund reds of volts.

The cha rge is i nstantly discharged, at the speci fied ignition ti ming, to the ignition coil pri mary

windi ng, thus i nducing a high su rge of voltage i n the secondary wi nding. As a result, a spark

occurs at the spa rk plug gap.

The PE I magneto has no breake r poi nts and therefore it is free f rom mechanica l trouble. This
ensu res a stabler secondary high v oltage and better spark performa nce.
