GAS CYLINDER SAFETY AND USE
This is a low pressure barbecue and must only be used with the hose and regulator assembly
supplied.
Your barbecue is designed for use with gas cylinders of 4.5kg capacity MAXIMUM and fitted
with a POL type valve.

DO NOT CONNECT YOUR BARBECUE TO A GAS CYLINDER
EXCEEDING THESE CAPACITIES.
NEVER CONNECT AN UNREGULATED GAS CYLINDER TO YOUR APPLIANCE
.
The gas cylinder should be filled by an authorised person and visually inspected and
requalified after each filling.
Always keep the cylinder in an upright position. Always close the cylinder valve when the
barbecue is not in use.
Do not subject the gas cylinder to excessive heat.
NEVER STORE A GAS CYLINDER INDOORS.
If you store your barbecue indoors,
ALWAYS
disconnect the gas cylinder and store the
cylinder outdoors.
Cylinders must be stored outdoors in a well ventilated area away from reach of children and
MUST NOT BE STORED IN A BUILDING, GARAGE
or other enclosed area.

LOCATION OF YOUR BARBECUE
DO NOT use your barbecue in garages, porches or breezeways, sheds or other enclosed
areas. Your barbecue is to be used OUTDOORS only. The barbecue is not intended to be
installed in or on recreational vehicles and or marine craft. The barbecue should NOT be
placed under any surface that will burn.
Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilation air around the barbecue housing.
Refer to appendix 1 for correct locations and definitions of an outdoor area

1. Do not store or use petrol or other flammable liquids in the vicinity of this or any
other appliances.
2. Do not store empty or spare gas cylinders under or near this appliance.
3. Keep the gas hose and any electrical cord away from hot surfaces. Protect the gas
hose from dripping fat. Avoid unnecessary twisting of the hose. Visually inspect
the hose prior to each use for signs of cracks, excessive wear or other damage.
Replace hose regularly.
4. Never test for gas leaks with a lit match or open flame.
5. Never light the barbecue with hood closed or before checking the burner tubes are
fully seated over valve outlets.
6. Never lean over cooking surfaces when lighting barbecue.
7. Never alter or modify the regulator or gas supply assembly.
8. THIS BARBECUE IS FOR OUTDOOR USE ONLY!
