Unplug the power cord from the power supply. 1.
Disconnect the heatsink fan wires from the CPU 2.
fan header.
Use your fi ngertips to gently press on the fas- 3.
tener cap. Then turn it counterclockwise for a 1/4
(90 0 ) turn and then pull the fastener upward to
loosen it.
Repeat Step 3 to loosen all fasteners from the 4.
mounting holes.
With all fasteners loosened, remove the heatsink 5.
from the CPU.

Warning: We do not recommend removing the CPU or the heatsink. If
you do need to remove the heatsink, please follow the instructions below
to prevent damage to the CPU or other components.
