6-9 Expansion Slot Setup
The SC809 chassis includes I/O slots for expansion cards. Each side supports one
low profi le/half-length card, for a total of two per system.
Installing Extension Cards
1. Disconnect the power supply, lay the chassis on a fl at surface, and open the
chassis cover.
2. Pull open the extension card slot clip in the rear of the chassis.
3. Slide the temporary extension card "L" bracket toward the slot clip and
remove the temporary bracket from the chassis.
4. Connect the extension card to the riser card and slide the add-on card
L-bracket into the rear extension card slot.
5. Close the extension card slot clip.
Note : Under normal circumstances, the riser card and extension card bracket are
not separated.
