Universal Serial Bus (USB) Ports
There is one USB 2.0 port (USB0/1) and one USB 3.0 port (USB6/7) located on the I/O back
panel. The X11SSH-CTF also has two front access USB 2.0 headers (USB2/3 and USB4/5)
and one front access USB 3.0 header (USB9/10). USB8 header is a USB Type A header. The
onboard headers can be used to provide front side USB access with a cable (not included).
4.3 Ports
Serial Ports
Two COM ports (COM1 & COM2) are provided on the motherboard. Both are located near
the PCI-E slot 4.
Rear I/O Ports
See the figure below for the locations and descriptions of the various I/O ports on the rear
of the motherboard.
SATA/SAS Ports
The X11SSH-CTF includes a total of eight SATA 3.0 ports, supported by the Intel C236 PCH
chip. In addition to the SATA ports, the X11SSH-CTF has eight SAS 3.0 ports, which are
supported by the LSI 3008 controller.

LAN Ports
There are two LAN ports (LAN1/LAN2) on the I/O back panel. There is also a dedicated IPMI
LAN port on the I/O back panel. These ports accept RJ45 type cables. Please refer to the
LED Indicator section for LAN LED information.

There is one COM port (COM1) on the I/O back panel and one COM header (COM2) on the
motherboard.
VGA Port
The onboard VGA port is located next to LAN Ports 1/2 on the I/O back panel. Use this
connection for VGA display.
