Node Control Panels
Each node has its own control panel, with the functions described below.

Power Button
Applies or removes power from the power supply to the node with standby power
maintained

Indicates network activity on node when flashing

Alerts operator to several states, as noted in the table below

UID Button
The Unit ID (UID) button is used to turn on or off the UID LED to more easily
locate the server in racks and server banks

red
An overheat condition has occurred.
(This may be caused by cable congestion.)
Blinking red (1Hz)
Fan failure, check for an inoperative fan.
Blinking red (0.25Hz)
Power failure, check for a non-operational power supply.
Solid blue
UID has been activated locally to locate the server in a rack
environment.
Blinking blue
UID has been activated using IPMI to locate the server in a
rack environment.
