Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

Power Supply

This power supply can operate at an input voltage from 100 to 240 volts. If replacing it, use 
the exact same model. New units can be ordered directly from Supermicro or authorized 
distributors. 

Changing the Power Supply Module:  

1. Power down the system and unplug the AC cord from the module.  

2. Remove the power cables to internal components. 

3. 

Remove the mounting screws: two on the chassis rear and two under the chassis floor. 

Lift the unit straight out of the chassis. 

4. Carefully insert the new unit into position in the chassis and secure it with the screws.

5. Reconnect the internal power cables and the external power cord.

6. Replace the chassis top cover.
