Management Engine (ME) Recovery
Use jumper JPME1 to select ME Firmware
Recovery mode, which will limit resource
allocation for essential system operation
only in order to maintain normal power
operation and management. In the single
operation mode, an online upgrade will
be available via Recovery mode. The
default setting is Normal. Refer to the
table on the right for jumper settings.

Manufacturer Mode Select
Close pin 2 and pin 3 of jumper JPME2 to
bypass SPI fl ash security and force the
system to operate in the Manufacturer
mode, allowing the user to flash the
system fi rmware from a host server for
system-setting modifi cations. The default
setting is Normal. Refer to the table on
the right for jumper settings.

I 2 C Bus to PCI-Exp. Slots
Use JI 2 C1 and JI 2 C2 to connect the
System Management Bus (I 2 C) to
the PCI-E slots to improve system
performance. These two jumpers are
to be set at the same time. The default
setting is Open for normal operation.
