Chapter 1

Introduction

1-1 Overview

The Supermicro SuperServer 7044H-32R is a high-end server that is comprised of

two main subsystems: the SC743T-R760 tower/4U server chassis and the X6DH3-

G2 dual Intel Xeon processor serverboard. Please refer to our web site for infor-

mation on operating systems that have been certiﬁ ed for use with the SuperServer

7044H-32R (www.supermicro.com).

In addition to the serverboard and chassis, various hardware components have

been included with the SuperServer 7044H-32R, as listed below:

Four (4) 8-cm hot-swap chassis fans (FAN-0072)

Two (2) 8-cm hot-swap rear exhaust fans (FAN-0081)
