Register
40006 MotorOnOff
provides the status (state) that the flowbench motor is currently in when read.
It also allows for the ability to change (set) states when this register receives commands. The following
commands are accepted:
0
= Motor OFF
1
= Motor ON
5.1.6 Setting Leakage
The flowbench measures all airflow between the calibrated range orifice and the open end of the device
under test, including air leakage anywhere in the path. This leakage can be measured and compensated
for.

Register
40026 Leakage
provides the status (state) that the flowbench leakage value is currently in when
read. It also allows operator to change (set) states when this register receives commands. The register can
be set to the desired leakage rate in the
unit of measurement
(CFM).
Example:
1.2
= 1.2 cfm
Checking and Compensating for Leakage
1.
Close all normal openings on the test device (close the valves on a cylinder head, block off the end of a
filter or muffler, etc.).
2.
Set the flowbench to range #1 (see section
"5.1.4 Setting the Range" on page 17).
3. Enter a leakage value of zero (see section "5.1.6 Setting Leakage").
4. Set the
Test Pressure
to the desired value (see section "5.1.2 Setting the Test Pressure" on page
16).
5.
Turn ON the flowbench motor (see section
"5.1.5 Turning Motor ON/OFF").
6.
Allow the flowbench reading to stabilize, and note the flow rate.
7.
Turn the flowbench motor OFF (see section
"5.1.5 Turning Motor ON/OFF").
8. Repeat step 3 and enter the leakage value.
