Installation
Always install the UVC device outside the pond, securely so it cannot fall into the pond. A pump transports the water from
the pond through the UVC device and then through the filter back into the pond. See technical data for the correct pump
capacity. Purification bacteria in the filter do not come into contact with the UV light, therefore the biological filtration is
not adversely affected. pond hoses. Secure the hoses with hose clamps.

Cut the hose connectors (a) at the same diameter as the diameter of the hose. Unscrew the hose connectors from
the UVC device before making cuts to avoid damaging the UVC device.
• Screw the hose connectors with the rubber gaskets (b) back onto the UVC device. The Double Head outlet allows
you to choose which side to screw a hose connector to, make sure the remaining outlet is blanked off using the
end cap (e).

Connect the pump and filter to the hose connectors of the UVC device using pond hoses. Secure the hoses with
hose clamps.
• Switch on the pump and check for any leaks.
• Then turn on the UVC device by plugging in the power cord.

To ensure the UV lamp is active use the control glass in the end cap to view (e).
• To avoid UVC overheating, switch off the UVC device when no water is flowing past it.
Maintenance
• Check monthly if UV lamp is burning via the control glass in the end cap (e) of the outlet.
• Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out maintenance!
• The UVC device should be cleaned twice a year. As soon as algae growth increases, check the UVC device and UV-
lamp and clean the whole or exchange the UV lamp as needed.
• The lamp is hot, wait 10 minutes after switch off before opening the UVC device.
• Ensure that the water is drained out of the UVC device first, before opening the device.

Slide the red switch lock (o) to unlock the electrical part/unit head and housing.
• Turn the unit head (p) counter-clockwise against the stop and carefully pull it out of the housing.
• Clean the inside of the housing (d) with a clean brush or cloth and rinse with clean tap water.

Loosen the locking screw (i) from the unit head, screw off the locknut (j). Pull off the quartz glass (g) including the
gasket (l) by a slight rotary movement.
• Carefully clean the quartz glass outer face with a soft cloth and SuperFish Pump & UVC Clean. After cleaning,
thoroughly rinse the quartz glass with clean tap water and check for damage. Replace the quartz glass if it shows
any damage (to prevent glass breakage). Quartz glass replacement kit for the Pond Clear UVC 30000 (Art. 06010375).
• The UV-lamp should be replaced annually, as the lamp may still show active but no longer emits enough UV
radiation (maximum 8000 operating hours). Replacement lamp for Pond Clear UVC 30000: SF UV PL-lamp 36 W
2G11-415 mm (Art. 06011035).

Remove the old lamp (k) together with clip (h) and tube protection ring (m) and remove the O-ring.

Slide the tube protection ring (m) over a new UV-lamp, and put the clip (h) on the end of the UV-tube.

Insert the new UV-lamp (k) in the fitting of the unit head.

Slide the quartz glass (g) gently over the UV-lamp and insert the quartz glass with the gasket (l) in the unit head.

Slide the locknut (j) over the quartz glass and tighten it onto the unit head.
• Place back the locking screw (i) to lock the locknut.

Place the unit head (p) with fitted UV-lamp and quartz glass back into the housing (d) correctly and lock the red
switch (o).
• Check the whole assembly for possible leaks and check if the UV lamp is working.
