17) Adjustment of the thread tension release

The standard opening level of thread tension-adjusting disc

is 0.8~1.0 mm.  Adjust the tray as described below.

A. Disassemble the upper lid with the dial set at

B. Push down the pressure bar lifter to lower the presser foot
C. Press the solenoid plate

towards the arrow direction

D. After loosening nut

, turn the cam nut

around and check if the tray

opens to a width of 0.8 ~1.0 mm.  Then securely tighten the

E. Reassemble the upper lid after adjustment.
