The following drawings diagram two alternate layouts. For all these layouts, the floor construction and
the roof construction remain the same. The wall studs are placed using the same 24” o.c. spacing
pattern, but there is a wider opening at the location where the door is desired to be placed. Also, please
note that there are notches in the studs that are installed adjacent to the window locations. Be sure to
use those studs in the proper locations.
The Vintage Garden Building was designed to accommodate several locations for the doors and
windows. This assembly manual was created for a layout with the doors on the left side of a long
wall, one window on that same wall, and one window on an end wall. However, the Vintage Garden
Building can be easily adapted to place the doors in the center of a long wall, on the right side of the
long wall, or on an end wall. Windows can also be placed at multiple locations.
