The lower anchor bars allow you to install
a child restraint system only on the rear
seat window-side seating positions. For
each window-side seating position, two
anchor bars are provided.
You will find marks “
” at the bottom of
the rear seat seatbacks. These marks in-
dicate the positions of the lower anchor
bars.
1. Remove the head restraint of the rear
seating position where the child restraint
system is to be installed.
2. Store the removed head restraint in the
cargo area.
3. Adjust the seatback to the upright posi-
tion.

Ensure that the cover is complete-
ly closed when a child restraint
system is not in use.

If the cover is not closed com-
pletely, there is a danger of per-
sonal injury to the vehicle
occupants and of damage to the
cover.

Do not place the head restraint that
has been removed in the passenger
compartment to prevent it from be-
ing thrown around in the passenger
compartment in a sudden stop or a
sharp turn.
