Complete Door Assembly
The choke cover seal, choke cover, and the latch hooks
can be removed with the door in place. To remove the
door panel, hinges, complete handle, or door assembly
the door must be removed.
Choke Cover Seal
To remove the choke cover seal, first open or remove
the door, then (See Figure 3-7):
1.
Use a putty knife or plastic knife to pry the choke
cover seal from between the choke cover and the
door panel.
2.
Remove the choke cover seal.
Choke Cover
To remove the choke cover, first remove the choke
cover seal, then (See Figure 3-8):
1.
Use a putty knife or plastic knife to pry the choke
cover from door panel, Start with the top edge.
2.
Remove the choke cover.
Latch and Latch Spring
To remove the latch or latch spring, first remove the
choke cover, then (See Figure 3-9):
1. Disconnect the latch spring from the latch.
2. Use a T-25 Torx drive to extract the screw from the
latch.
