3.   Operating instructions

Every operator working wth the labeling machine (with the Label

ap

p

licator) should become acquainted carefully with the present

o

perating

manual.

Mounting

.

The machine should be placed on a flat, horizontal surface larger than its

base behind the label applicator. The two machines are mounted to each other with the
attached mounting plate. From the kit supplied with it a power cable is connected to the
power network and a signal cable from

INPUT1

is connected to the connector for external

start of the label applicator . The signal cable has no direction. The external start pedal from
the labeling machine is connected to the second connector /

INPUT2

 / of the marking

machine.

Provide space around service machines and work with them.

Preparation for work

.

Load the roll with labels.
The label roll is placed on the 'Label roll holder'. Its position is fixed with the two

limiters

. The tape with labels is loaded according to the attached scheme - fig.3.1 when

working with label

 applicator

STS808, or fig.3.2 when working with label

 applicator

 STS810,

when

the tape with the marked labels is fed to the

applicator

. The waste tape / the base of

the label / is taken back and according to the attached scheme is led to the

s

haft wasted

tape. Clamps with the provided

p

hoebe

for the shaft. In labeling machines, labels are loaded

according to their scheme.

The limiters are set.
The limiters  are released and placed in end positions. The label tape is positioned so

that the label falls into the desired position of the vessel when gluing. The beginning of the
label is placed on the peeling edge of the labeling machine. The pull shaft is locked. Stretch
the tape along the entire route - the plane should be parallel to the sides of the machines.
The stops are positioned to the tape and fixed. The tape must move freely. Improper
adjustment of the stops leads to curvature of the label tape which leads to poor positioning
when marking and gluing.

Preparing the printer.
The ink cartridge is inserted in the printer - it must be clean-headed, with no ink leaks.

The power of the machines is switched on. The marking machine stretches the tape by
winding part of the waste. The printer power is turned on. The printer display lights up. The
menu sets the print settings: print direction / depending on the movement of the label /,
printing mode / encoder /, print start / photoelectric detection /, print delay / 0 - changes if
necessary /, print speed / 500uS /. Select the desired inscriptions and markings / from its
memory, manually or from external memory / - Draw. The print starts. By manually moving
the printer left / right and on an imaginary platform forwards / backwards, the printhead is
positioned above the marking start point. The printer rollers should rest well on the rotating
guide elements.
Starting the labeling machine leads to automatic operation of the marker.
