When the time has elapsed the preparation disc will automa-
tically stop and the specimen holder will return to its initial
position. The machine is now ready for the next step.
A preparation step can be stopped at any time during the
process by pressing the key STOP
o
.
If a process has been stopped using the emergency stop button
– you will get a message when pulling the button outwards
again to release it. The sample mover will return to its initial
position before starting again.
Manual operations are possible as the disc can run independently
of the specimen holder.
The parameters for manual functions disc speed, lubricant and
suspension can be altered in the menu Manual Functions, see
Advanced Operations.
Start the disc separately by pressing the key DISC
d
.The
disc will operate at low speed (150 rpm).
Start the flow of water independently of a preparation step by
pressing the key WATER
w
.
To be able to give manual dosing of lubricant and suspension
you should first choose a preparation step where required
lubricant and suspension is selected.
You can now press the key LUBRICANT
l
and the key
SUSPENSION
a
. The dosing will be at maximum for as long
as the key is pressed.
Stop the disc and water by pressing the key STOP

or by
pressing the key DISC

and the key WATER
