Mounting and
dismantling the
grooved ball
bearings 1. Lay the assembly unit, consisting of the inner body
(2) and coil body (1), on the face surface of the coil
body. This must also be underpinned (C).
2. Pull the inner body out of the coil body.
For clutches from type series 10 to 140, the inner
body can be extracted from the bearing using a pull-
off device, which is supported on the coil body and
the two threaded bores on the face side of the inner
body.
For clutches from type series 200 to 600, the inner
body can be pressed out of the bearing by screwing
two screws (not included in the scope of delivery) in-
to the threaded bores on the face side.
3. Press the grooved ball bearings (8) out of the coil
body. The grooved ball bearings are damaged in
this process and must be replaced with new ones.
Only remove the spacer bushes (11, 12) for clutches
from type series 200 onwards.
4. Press new grooved ball bearings (8) and, if applica-
ble, spacer bushes (11, 12) into the coil body (1).
For dry operation use the corresponding grease
quality, see section 6.3.6. In doing so, only apply ax-
ial force to the outer rings of the grooved ball bear-
ings.
5. Complete and install the assembly unit again, see
section 6.4.
NOTE
Depending on the actual width of the new
grooved ball bearings (8), the spacer ring
(9/10) may need to be sanded down and
made narrower.
