6.4 Installing the clutch
CAUTION
Risk of accidents caused by components being ejected
By installing unsuitable screws, pins and fitting keys of insufficient strength, components may be
slung out during rotation. Components being slung out may cause injuries to people.
► Only use screws, pins and fitting keys of the specified size and strength.
► Only use the specified screw locking agent.
► Observe the tightening torques.
► Do not operate the clutch without a safety guard or proper housing.

The toothing on the armature plate (3), inner body (2) and carrier (4) must not be damaged during the assembly
work, as minor damage and ridges alone may result in the clutch malfunctioning.
6.4.1 Mounting the carrier
Assembly of the
carrier 1. Centre the carrier (4) and connect it to the add-on
component using screws (20) and cylindrical pins
(not included in the scope of delivery). Secure the
screws with liquid screw lock.
NOTE
If the carrier is not provided, the threaded
bores for the retaining bolt slots, the external
toothing for the armature plate slot and the
centring bore must be manufactured by the
operator according to the instructions in the
dimensional drawing, see section 4.3.
The same applies for the fixing bores in the
carrier, which can be arranged according to
the recommendation in the valid brochure
D 210.
