ENGINEERED EZI-SLAT FENCING DESIGN TABLES

DESIGN NOTES

Design fence loading determined in accordance with 
ASCE/SEI 7-10: Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and 
other structures.

Exposure B: Urban and suburban areas, wooded areas, or 
other terrain with numerous, closely spaced obstructions 
having the size of single-family dwellings or larger.

Exposure C: Open terrain with scattered obstructions having 
heights less than 30 feet.

Topographic Multiplier, Kzt = 1.0 has been used throughout.

Tables suitable for use for fencing with aspect ratio (i.e. 
Fence Length over Height) of 2 or more.

Post grade (minimum):  Yield: 50750 PSI (350MPa)
 

Ultimate: 62400 PSI (430MPa)

PANEL DEFINITION

 (based on fence aspect ratio up to 10)

:

General panels are those greater than 2x overall panel height 
from the end of the panel run or greater than 2x overall 
panel height from a return corner.

Free End Panels are those within a distance of 2x overall 
panel height from the end of the panel run, not including 
panels immediately adjacent a wall or fence.

Return Corner Panels are those within a distance of 1x 
overall panel height from a return corner.

Stratco can offer additional engineering advice if design 
parameters vary from those stated.

MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

Fencing located greater than 3000 feet from a marine or 
severe industrial/corrosive environments require normal 
inspection and maintenance, refer to the ‘Selection, Use & 
Maintenance of Stratco Steel Products’ brochure. For fencing 
which is located closer than 3000 feet from these 
environments, increased inspection and maintenance is 
required, refer to the ‘Stratco Product Maintenance - Severe 
Environment Considerations’ brochure.
