ENGINE
Refer to engine manual for specific engine information.
Engine Oil
1. Change oil after the first 50 hours, then change oil every 100 hours under normal
use. For severe service, change engine oil every 50 hours.
2. Remove the oil filler cap and drain bolt. Drain oil into a suitable container
3. Clean and install the drain bolt, tighten securely.
4. Fill with recommended oil to the upper limit mark on the dipstick. Install and
tighten the oil filler cap securely.
5. Run engine for 2 – 3 minutes, stop engine and check oil level.
Note: Please dispose of used motor oil in a manner that doesn’t harm the environment.
Oil Grade and Capacity
Engine requires 1.16 quarts/1.1 liter.
 Over 40 Degrees Fahrenheit/13 Degrees Celsius SAE 30
 Below 40 Degrees Fahrenheit/13 Degrees Celsius SAE 20
ENGINE IS EQUIPPED WITH LOW OIL SHUT DOWN. UNIT WILL SHUT DOWN IF
ENGINE OIL IS LOW.
Air Filter
Check air filter before each use and clean after every 50 hours of service.
Clean primary (outer) element at 50 hours (after break-in period) then every 50 hours or 12
months.
Service air cleaner more frequently in dusty conditions.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT operate engine without the filter cover.
1. Remove air cleaner cover.
2. Remove primary (outer) element only.
3. Thoroughly clean all dirt from inside filter housing. Insert the air nozzle into
element, hold air nozzle about 1” (25.4 mm) from perforated metal retainer. Force
air (30 psi max) through filter from inside to outside and move air gun up and down
pleats to remove as much dirt as possible.
