and so on) or sharp objects that may scratch the stainless steel cooktop surface.

• Remove (Fig 17) the enamelled trivets (1) from the cooktop and the burner
caps (2) from the burner base (3) from the cooktop and clean them the
same way as the cooktop surface: with a soft cloth wrung out in warm,
soapy water.
• Remove tough stains from enamelled parts using a nonabrasive liquid
detergent, a creamy cleanser suitable for cleaning vitreous enamel or a fi ne
steel wool soap pad.
• The enamelled trivets may also be washed in a dishwasher.
• Do not clean the burner base (3) in a Dishwasher. Only clean with a damp

Aluminium Parts
Review the burner parts once a month to see if they require cleaning. Check that nothing is clogging the
mechanism. Use a thin steel needle to remove any dirt, combustion residues or spilled food residues from the
burner slots.
• Remove the burner bodies from the cooktop and clean them the same way as the enamelled parts, or use
a nylon brush to remove any cleaning materials, water or dirt.
• After cleaning, rinse and dry thoroughly.
• Clean the ignition plugs and fl ame failure probes (Fig. 18) carefully with a nylon brush and methylated
spirits to ensure proper ignition and operation of the safety valves.
• Refi t all burner parts to their dedicated spaces on the cooktop, ensuring they are correctly in place. The
hole in the ring of the burner fi ts over the ignition plug (Fig. 19). If it does not fi t, you are trying to fi t the
burner body onto the wrong burner.
• To check that all parts are reassembled correctly, light the burners and allow them to dry out.
