Important installation advice
Electrical Shock Hazard
WARNING:
All electrical work associated with the installation of this cooktop must be carried out by a
licensed electrician.
WARNING:
This cooktop must be installed by a suitably qualified person in strict accordance with all
instructions in this manual.
• Adjacent furniture: When installing the cooktop, please ensure that any adjacent furniture (i.e. kitchen
cabinetry, doors and panels) along with all installation materials, are able to withstand a minimum
temperature of 95ºC.
• Certain types of vinyl or laminate kitchen cabinetry are particularly prone to heat damage, warping
or discolouration at temperatures below the guideline provided above. We assume no liability for any
damage caused by the appliances being installed in contravention of this temperature limit, or by
placing adjacent cabinetry closer than 4mm to the cooktop.
• Adequate Ventilation: Use of your cooktop will create heat, steam and moisture. Ensure that care
is taken to avoid injury as a result of use and that the room containing the cooktop is adequately
ventilated. Consult your qualified installer as to an appropiate level of ventilation based on your room
size and type.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply before carrying out any work or maintenance
on it.
• Connection to a good earth wiring system is essential and mandatory.
• Alterations to the domestic wiring system must only be made by a qualified electrician.
• Failure to follow this advice may result in electrical shock or death.

• Take care: panel edges are sharp.
• Failure to use caution could result in injury or cuts.
