Remove/Replace Gas piston
CAUTION Note: Always change both gas pistons if possible!
Ref. To do, remove: Required/tools/etc.
1 Set the wheels into the brake position. Tools required: 6mm Allen
wrench,8mm Allen
wrench,13mm wrench, 17mm
wrench.
2 Unplug the power cord from the power supply (wall outlet).

Raise the back to it
’
s highest position (If possible).
4 Remove the bolt and nut that holds the gas piston fork to the back
frame. Move the back frame slightly to get the bolt out while hold-
ing the gas piston.
5 Loosen the nut locking the bolt on the lower mounting point of the
gas piston, then remove bolt and gas piston.
6 On gas piston, note how far the fork is threaded down onto the top
of the gas piston. Loosen fork and move it to replacement gas pis-
ton. Thread it down the same distance as on old gas piston.

To do, replace:
2 Mount the replacement gas piston into the lower mounting point,
adjust screw and tighten locking nut to a 0.2-0.4mm play. See views.
3 Install the gas piston fork to the back frame with bolt and nut, ad-
just the length of the gas piston by threading the fork in or out to
achieve the correct play. See views.
4 Repeat procedure on the other gas piston.
5 Raise and lower back section and make sure it works, If not, adjust
the forks on the gas pistons to proper play.
6 Plug the power connector into the power supply (wall outlet).
7 Perform test according to preventive maintenance instruction.
