Adjusting depth of cut

Shut off the engine to avoid injury.

Adjust correctly
The depth of cut varies according to
unevenness of the ground, your
height and the way you hold the
edger. Use the following procedure:

Adjust the wheel (
2
) so that the
cutting blade (
3
) is just touching the
top of the soil in the normal working
position or breaks the surface of the
soil no more than 0.2" (5 mm) (

Do not adjust the deflector!
The deflector has been set by the
manufacturer so that the arrow on the
open side of the deflector always points
away from the operator. This ensures
that cuttings and other debris will be
directed away from the machine and
operator.
