3.1 Installing the groundwater station

Position the installation template horizontally at the re-
quired installation location. The installation template is
located on one of the flaps of the packaging box.
f
Mark the holes on the wall.
f
Drill the holes.
f
Insert suitable rawl plugs into the holes.
f
Turn the double ended screws into the rawl plugs.
f
Remove the upper shell of the insulation from the
groundwater station.
f
Place the groundwater station over the double ended
screws, followed by the washers provided. Secure the
groundwater station with the relevant nuts.

Fit the air vent valve and the drain & fill valve in the brine
circuit.
f
Ensure that the levers of the 3-way ball valves are posi-
tioned for throughput, as shown in the diagram.
3.2 Installing the brine circuit
Note
Read and observe chapter “Installing the heat source
system” in the installation instructions for the ground
source heat pump.
f
Install a safety assembly in the brine circuit.
Note
Some ground source heat pumps are supplied with a
safety assembly.
Note
The heat exchanger should only be operated in coun-
tercurrent (see chapter "Specification / Standard cir-
cuits").
f
Fill the brine circuit with an ethylene glycol/water mix-
ture with at least 25 % by vol. ethylene glycol. Check for
tightness.
f
After filling, vent the brine circuit.
3.2.1 Heat source sensor
f
Check whether a heat source sensor has already been
installed in the ground source heat pump. If this is not the
case, install the heat source sensor at the groundwater
station heat pump return (see chapter "Specification /
Standard circuits").
f
Use the contact sensor as a heat source sensor to capture
the brine temperature.
f
Install the contact sensor as described in the heat pump
manager instruction manual (see chapter “Sensor
installation”).

Connect the contact sensor to the heat pump manager at
terminal 6 of low voltage X2.

Connect the contact sensor to the heat pump manager at
terminal X1.9.
3.2.2 Heat pump manager settings

In the CoMMISSIoNING / SoURCE menu, set the
SoURCE MEDIUM parameter to ETHYLENE GLY-
CoL, then set the SoURCE TEMPERATURE MIN
parameter to 2 °C.
If the heat pump has an integral heat pump manager, observe
the following information.

For a ground source heat pump with integral heat
pump manager, set the SoURCE MEDIUM param-
eter to GRoUNDWATER STATIoN.
