17. Troubleshooting
17.1 Fault table
Fault
Cause
remedy
The appliance does not heat up.
Heating element contactor control is faulty.
Check the heating element contactor control.
No power supply to the storage heater.
Check the fuse/MCB in the main distribution box.
No power supply at the charge controller.
Check the power supply. See chapters "Electrical connection"
and/or "Specification".
The high limit safety cut-out (F1) has responded.
Reset the high limit safety cut-out (see chapter "Resetting the
high limit safety cut-out").
The charge control system is incorrectly adjusted.
Check the charge control system settings.
The charge controller is not working properly.
Check the settings of parameters P14, P15, P17 and P18 in the
configuration menu (see chapter "Installation / Settings").
When the outside temperature is mild, the
appliance charge is too high (when using a
charge control system).
The transmission of the control signal is interrupted.
Check whether the control signal from the charge control sys-
tem in the storage heater is present.
The heating curve is incorrectly adjusted.
Check the charge control system settings
The outside temperature sensor is faulty.
Test the outside temperature sensor and replace it if required.
The charge controller is transmitting an incorrect
control signal.
Check the settings of parameters P17 and P18 in the configu-
ration menu (see chapter "Installation / Settings").
When the outside temperature is mild, the
appliance charge is too high (when adjusting
the charge manually).
Settings for the charge level reducer in the storage
heater.
Check the charge level reducer settings.
Appliance does not discharge.
The fans are not turning.
Check:
... the settings of parameter P6 in the configuration menu (see
chapter "Installation / Settings").
... that fan enable is switched on.
... that fan voltage is present in the storage heater.
The fluff filter in the air intake is clogged.
Clean the fluff filter. See chapter "Cleaning, care and mainte-
nance".
Check whether the air supply is obstructed, e.g. due to thick
carpets.
Check whether the protective temperature controller (N5) in
the air discharge has responded.
The display shows fault code "E1".
The room temperature sensor is faulty.
Test the room temperature sensor and replace it if necessary.
The display shows fault code "E2".
The core temperature sensor is faulty.
Test the core temperature sensor and replace it if necessary.
The display shows fault code "E3".
The DC control signal is corrected to the wrong poles. Check the DC control signal connection.
17.1.1 Resetting the high limit safety cut-out (F1)

Once the cause of the fault has been rectified, the high limit safety
cut-out can be reset by pressing the reset button.
