3. Product description
3.1 standard delivery
the brine charging unit is delivered with the following:
-
Safety valve
-
hook wrench
4. Installation
Install the brine charging unit into the heat source system for
a brine | water heat pump.
f f observe the flow direction (see chapter "Specification /
Dimensions and connections").

Material losses
Mount the brine charging unit horizontally aligned
and free of stress.

f f Close the shut-off valve in the heat source flow.
f f open the shut-off valve in the heat pump flow.
f f
Connect the refrigerant flow line to the charging side of
the unit.
f f Connect the refrigerant return line to the draining side of
the unit.
f f Carry out a pressure test. For this, remove the safety valve
and insert the plug supplied.

Check for tightness.

Charge the heat source system to the required operating
pressure. For this, observe the maximum operating pres-
sure (see chapter "Specification / Data table").
f f Close the shut-off valve in the heat pump flow.
f f Remove the plug and refit the safety valve.
f f Vent the heat source system.
f f
after venting, close the quick-action air vent valve.
4.2 removing the strainer
If there is a high pressure drop into the heat source system you
can remove the strainer in the filter chamber of the brine charg-
ing unit (see chapter "Specification / Pressure drop diagram").

Material losses
For opening and closing the filter chamber, use exclu-
sively the hook wrench supplied.

f f open the filter chamber. Remove the filter cartridge.
f f Remove the strainer from the heat pump flow.
f f Re-insert the filter cartridge. Close the filter chamber.
f f
tighten the cover with a torque of 15 nm.
f f open the shut-off valves in the heat source flow and the
heat pump flow.
f f
Vent the heat source system.
f f after venting, close the quick-action air vent valve.
5. maintenance
Clean the filter cartridge if required.
