Failure to securely seat the battery pack could cause the battery pack to fall out, resulting in serious
personal injury.
To install :
To attach, align and slide the battery pack onto the battery slot until it locks in place.
To remove :
To release, press the battery unlock button and remove the battery pack from the product.
Assembly of guide bar and saw chain : illustration 2.1 to 2.4
Loosen the cover release knob to release the chain sprocket cover. Remove the chain sprocket cover.
Place the chain in the groove of the outside edge of the guide bar.
NOTE
:
Make sure the chain’s direction of rotation is correct. The blades on each cutting link on the
upper side of the cutting bar must be facing towards the tip of the pole saw. Insert the guide bar and
chain into the mount on the pole saw. In the process, guide the chain around the pinion and hang the
guide bar in the chain tensioning bolts. Adjust the chain tension. Mount and hand-tighten the chain
sprocket cover with the retaining nut.
Tension the chain
NOTE : The saw chain must be tensioned properly in order to
ensure safe operation.
Loosen the retaining nut of the chain sprocket cover by a few rotations.
Adjust the chain tension by rotating the Tension Adjustment Knob (the outermost knob on the cover
release knob). Clockwise rotation increases the chain tension; Counter-clockwise rotation reduces the
chain tension. The saw chain is correctly tensioned if it can be raised approximately 2 mm from the center
of the guide bar.
NOTE
:
The saw chain must be tensioned properly in order to ensure safe operation. The chain tension
is optimal if the saw chain can be lifted 2 mm from the center of the edge of the guide bar. Since the saw
chain heats up during operation, its length can therefore fl uctuate. Check the chain tension every 10
minutes of operation and adjust as necessary, particularly for new saw chains. Slacken the saw chain after
the work is competed since it shortens when cooling down. In doing so, you can elongate the chain’s life
and prevent damage.
Filling the oil tank : illustration 3.2
Place the saw on a level surface. Clean the area around the oil tank cap and then open it.
Fill the oil tank with saw chain oil. In doing so, make sure that no dirt gets into the oil tank so that the oil
nozzle does not clog. Close the oil tank cap.
CAUTION ! To prevent oil leakage, ensure machine is left in a
horizontal position (oil fi ller cap upright) when not in use.
Use only the recommended oil to avoid damage to the pole
saw. Never use recycled/old oil.
Install the harness : illustration 3.3
The single harness is adjustable to the size of the operator. Please set the quick release mechanism to the
operable area by the operator.
4.3 PREPARATION
Before each use, check the following items to ensure safe working conditions.
POLE SAW :
Before beginning work, inspect the pole saw for damage to the housing, the extension
cable, the saw chain and the guide bar. Never use an obviously damaged machine.
OIL TANK :
Check the fi ll level of the oil tank. Also check whether there is suffi
cient oil available while
working.
Never operate the saw if there is no oil or the oil level has dropped below the minimum oil level mark
in order to prevent damage to the pole saw. On average, an oil fi lling is suffi
cient for approximately 10
minutes of cutting operation (depending on the duration of pauses and the density of the workpiece).
