Manual Hook Height Adjustment
1. Fully extend the main cylinders so the jib section is in the loading mode, as seen below.
The hook height handle should be at a level that is comfortable for use.
2. Remove the small handle
retaining pin (Item A). This
allows you to use the hook
height handle (Item B).
3. Remove the two large pins
(Items C) which attach the
top section of the jib section
to the bottom section. It may
be necessary to use the hook
height handle (Item B) to take
weight off of the pins before
they can be removed.
4. Once the large pins are removed, the top section of the jib should be free to move up
or down. Use the hook height handle (Item B) to adjust the top section of the jib to the
desired hook height. The gas spring that is attached next to the hook height handle
will carry the majority of the weight, preventing the top section of the jib from falling
out.
5. Once the hook is at the desired height, reinsert the two large pins (Items C). It may be
necessary to make minor adjustments with the hook height handle in order to get the
pin holes lined up.
6. After adjusting the hook height, return the hook height handle (Item B) to the stored
position and reinsert the small retaining pin (Item A).
