CHANGING ACOUSTIC SEALS (cont.)

For structural horizontals top and bottom. Locate the correct component by

IRID label for area constructing. Determine if there are any electrical pass
through requirements per elevation drawings.

Remove the acoustic seal from the side which requires changing.

Use a heavy duty utility shear to cut replacement seal to the same length as

the one being replaced. Cut the ends as straight as possible.

Remove the tape release paper and replace the seal using the opposite

side seal as a guide for placement.

NOTE: Intermediate horizontal seals can be replaced after
assembled to frame. Remove and replace with correct color
per elevation drawings. Cut replacement seal to the same
length as the one removed and apply like the vertical seal.
