Water System:
An optional water system is available on some Starcraft/SmokerCraft models.
The pressurized system provides water from a remote tank. The manual system
operates by pushing the pump mounted on the sink. Water will flow from the
tank into the sink. ONLY fresh water should be stored in the tank and should
be refilled often to maintain its freshness. The tank should be emptied during
times of freezing and storage. Your dealer can assist you in any further instruc-
tion.
Note:
Some models may not pump from a tank, but from the water in
which the boat is sitting.
Trolling Motor:
Trolling motor is optional equipment that is available on many Starcraft/
SmokerCraft boats. Your dealer can assist you in selecting the best motor for
your particular use. Consult with your dealer regard proper installation and
safety guidelines. Your trolling motor owner’s manual should be referenced
for operational instructions.
Boarding Ladders:
Ladders should
NEVER
be used when the engine is running to prevent injury.
ALWAYS utilize the ladder when exiting or entering the water. NEVER
use the pontoon tubes for exiting or entering.
Your boat may be equipped with one of
the two types of boarding ladders
.
Stern
Ladder:
This ladder is located at the stern of the boat and is standard on all stern entry
boats. When not in use, securely fasten the ladder so it does not drag in the
water. Doing so can cause damage to both the ladder and the boat.
Side Mount Ladder:
Boats with side entries may include a side mount ladder. Your dealer can as-
sist in installation of a ladder should you elect to add one to your boat. Never
allow your ladder to drag in the water. Always secure in place before taking
off or transporting.
Bimini Top Canvas:
A bimini top is standard or optional on many Starcraft/SmokerCraft models.
Bimini top size and installation varies based on the model. Keeping your top
clean and clear of debris will keep it in good operating condition. Consult your
dealer for recommended cleaning products and maintenance schedule. Top
should be stored when transporting your boat or running over 15 mph on the
water. For information on care and maintenance, please refer to page 19 on
your Starcraft/SmokerCraft Owner’s Manual.
Privacy Enclosure:
Privacy enclosure is standard on certain Starcraft/SmokerCraft models. This
system provides an area of privacy for changing clothes or using a porta potti.
The enclosure is made to be used when the boat is at rest or at idle speeds.
When not in use, the enclosure should be securely closed and fastened to pre-
vent damage to the enclosure system. This feature is not available on most
models as an after-market option.
Fishing Seats:
Aluminum fishing boats, fish-style pontoons, and fish-style fiberglass boats
feature fishing seats in bow and/or stern areas depending on the model. These
seats can swivel and should never be ridden in when the boat is underway.
