Depth Gauge:
This gauge provides information on the
depth of the water where your boat is running. There are
two functioning parts to the gauge. The gauge unit houses
the transmitter, receiver and the user controls. The trans-
ducer is located under the water and sends electrical en-
ergy from the transducer into sonar waves to provide feed-
back to the display.
Your boat may have one of the two gauges shown here.
The second gauge allows you to set the lowest possible
depth that you can navigate. Should the depth go lower
than that level, an alarm will sound.
NOTE: Starcraft/SmokerCraft is not responsible for dam-
age done by tree stumps, sand bars, shallow water, etc.
due to inaccurate readings. Take the time to know the wa-
ter before getting under way.
Dash/Instrument Panel:
The dash/instrument panel on
your Starcraft/SmokerCraft boat is specific to your boat
model. You will find specific gauge information on this
page and the following three. Take the time to get to know
your instruments and how the gauges function. Doing so
before launching will help you have a safe and fun day on
the water.
