Maintenance

Read all of SAFETY and this section before attempting any procedure.

Pay particular attention to Notices, Cautions, Warnings and Dangers

HARDWARE

Normally, three classes of standard hardware and three classes of metric hard-
ware are used in the vehicle.

(Battery is standard other metric)

Grade 5 hard-

ware is identified by the three marks on the hexagonal head; grade 8 hardware
is identified by six marks on the head; grade 2 hardware is not marked. The
class specification is marked on metric hardware. Inspect the vehicle for loose
fasteners periodically. The fasteners must be tightened carefully and accord-
ing to the Torque Specifications table or as specified in the Repair and Service
Manual.
