≤ Maximum
Example
•
D
1
= 10 m, D
2
= 1.0 mm
•
0.4 mm/m x 10 m = 4 mm
(maximum offset distance)
•
1.0 mm ≤ 4 mm
(TRUE, tool is within calibration)
Vertical Beam Accuracy (Figure
Ⓚ
)
1.
Measure the height of a door jamb or reference
point to get distance D
1
. Place laser tool as
shown with laser ON. Aim vertical beam towards
door jamb or reference point. Mark points P
1
, P
2
,
and P
3
as shown.
2.
Move laser tool to opposite side of door jamb or
reference point and align the same vertical beam
with P
2
and P
3
.
3.
Measure the horizontal distances between P
1
and
the vertical beam from the 2nd location.
4.
Calculate the maximum offset distance and
compare to D
2
.
5.
If D
2
is not less than or equal to the calculated
maximum offset distance the tool must
be returned to your Stanley Distributor for
calibration.
Maximum Offset Distance:
Maximum = 0.4 mm/m x 2 x D

≤ Maximum
Example
•
D
1
= 2 m, D
2
= 0.5 mm
•
0.4 mm/m x 2 x 2 m = 1.6 mm
(maximum offset distance)
•
0.5 mm ≤ 1.6 mm
(TRUE, tool is within calibration)
Using Laser Accessories
WARNING:
Since accessories other than those offered by
Stanley have not been tested with this laser,
use of such accessories with this laser could
be hazardous.
Only use Stanley accessories that are recommended
for use with this model. Accessories that may be
suitable for one laser may create a risk of injury when
used with another laser.
A Detachable Tripod Base and the
Rotation Knobs (Figure
Ⓕ
)
The detachable tripod base has a 5/8"‑11 thread screw
on which to attach the laser, and the rotation knob
(Figure
Ⓕ①
) can be used to adjust the height. The
rotation knob (Figure
Ⓕ②
) on the laser allows subtle
rotation adjustment on laser.
Using the L Bracket (Figure
Ⓖ
)
The L bracket has a 5/8"‑11 thread screw on which to
attach the laser, as well as magnets and a keyhole for
hanging the laser from a wall.
Using the Tripod (Figure
Ⓗ
)
The tripod is equipped with 5/8"‑11 thread screw to
accommodate the current model. Accessories that
may be suitable for one laser may create a risk of
injury when used with another laser.
Maintenance and Care
NOTE:
Laser tool is not waterproof.
DO NOT
allow to get wet. Damage to internal circuits
may result.
DO NOT
leave laser tool in direct sunlight or expose it
to high temperatures. The housing and some internal
parts are made of plastic and may become deformed
at high temperatures.
DO NOT
store the laser tool in a cold environment.
Moisture may form on interior parts when warming
up. This moisture could fog up laser windows and / or
cause corrosion of internal circuit boards.
NOTE:
When working in dusty locations, some
