CH NAME
Function
: Changes the channel name shown on the dis-
play.
To change the channel name:
1. Select the channel you wish to change the name
before
following the steps below.
2. Turn off the
HX380
by rotating the
VOL
knob counter clockwise.
3. Hold down the
key, then turn on the transceiver while still holding down
the
key.
4. Press the or key to select “
CH NAME
”.
5. Press the
key. The current channel name will appear on the upper left
corner of the display.
6. Press the or
key to select the first character (letter, number, or sym
-
bol) in the name, then press the
key to move to the next character.
7. Repeat step 6 as many times as necessary to complete the name tag (up
to 12 characters).
8. After completing your adjustment, press the
key to save the new set-
ting.
9. Press the
key to exit to normal operation.
