6. ASSEMBLY
6.1. Setting the device in the location of the planned installation
The area of operation of the coffee grinder is of crucial importance both for its performance and for the safety of the persons
operating the device. Setting and using the device in an improper location may cause adverse physiological changes, for
example postural defects or unnecessary excessive strain for the person operating the device. In light of the above mentioned
potential risks, the following precautions should be considered before making a decision on the operating location of the
device:
1.
The coffee grinder should be set on a flat, stable base, with a height which will enable easy and safe handling.
2.
The device should be positioned in the correct distance from the electrical outlet, in such a way as to allow for conve-
nient connecting and disconnecting of the device plug from the socket (approx. 110 cm). When unplugging the device
from the socket, it is always necessary to pull by the plug and never pull by the cord.
3.
In order to ensure correct operation of the device, and to allow for easy and safe handling and cleaning, it is always ne-
cessary to keep an appropriate distance from the surrounding devices or walls.
WIDTH:
At least 20 cm free space should be left on both sides of the coffee grinder.
DEPTH:
At least 20 cm free space should be left on the front and back of the device.
HEIGHT:
At least 30 cm of free space should be provided above the grinder.
4.
For your convenience, it is preferred to place the coffee grinder near the coffee machine. This will allow for avoiding
unnecessary movement from one device to the other.
5.
Do not locate the coffee grinder near running water or in places in which foreign substances could get inside the device.
6.
Do not leave the device near sources of heat such as radiators, or in conditions of draft or places where it may be expo-
sed to direct sunlight, excessive dust, adverse weather conditions such as rain or mechanical vibration or the danger of
impact or fall.
7.
In order to prevent the overheating of the device during operation it should be located in a place with adequate ventila-
tion.
6.2. Connection to the power supply source
The device should be connected to a source of alternating current.
Before connecting the device to the electric network, make sure that the voltage and frequency at the location where the
device is installed are consistent with the values indicated on the name plate.
The power source must be grounded and equipped with a residual-current circuit breaker in accordance with the applicable
laws.
7. FIRST USE OF THE COFFEE GRINDER
Before the first use of the coffee grinder fill the coffee beans container by following the instructions given below;
1.
Make sure that the coffee beans container (2) is properly fitted to the grind size adjustment plate (11).
2.
Close the coffee beans feed lock (10) which stops their flow to the grinding chamber.
