Function and device design
4.1
Function
The breather is used for ventilation and pressure equalisation of explosion-protected
equipment in hazardous areas. It is designed for installation in enclosures of the type
of protection "Increased safety 'e'" and "Protected by enclosure 'tb'".
The sealing ring is used for compensation of slight unevenness on the contact surface
and for compensation of temperature fluctuations.
