Automatic recording
stop control
The system must also include
a ‘Stop Log’ command. This
is because recording MUST be
stopped before power is
removed.

Without this, the last part of the video that was recording
may be lost when the power is removed.
Manual recording control
Additionally, recording can be initiated using the DVR2
Record Switch.
The VS/VSR module’s recorder control output is wired in
parallel with the DVR2 Record Switch such that either the
VS/VSR output or the DVR2 Record Switch can cause the
DVR2 to start recording.
To stop the DVR2 recording both the VS/VSR output and the
DVR2 Record Switch must be off to stop recording.
Recording Lamp
The DVR2 Recording Lamp output is directly connected to
both the DVR2 Recording Lamp and the VS/VSR Video
Status Lamp. When the DVR2 is recording, both lamps will
be illuminated.

It is not necessary to connect the Recording Lamp when
using the Video Controller.
Recommended Vehicle System Power
connections
Power for the Stack Video/Data System and DVR2 must be
connected to the Master switch supply and not to the
switched Ignition supply. This arrangement allows the
