5. Lead Tests
When the Lead Tests window appears, the Merlin™ PSA begins sensing and measuring the intrinsic
signal amplitude and slew rate.
From the Lead Tests window you can:

Enable/Disable Pacing
Select the
toggle button to turn pacing on or off for the corresponding channel. When you
enable or disable pacing for a particular channel with the Pacing button, the Merlin PSA automatically
changes the
settings, depending on the pacing status of other channels (see

To enable pacing with the Pacing button, the Mode must be set to ODO, VVI, AAI, or DDD. The Pacing
button does not operate in AOO, VOO, VDD, DOO, or DDI modes.

intended for long term life-sustaining pacing support.

When noise, defined as activity sensed by the Merlin PSA in a
refractory period, is detected, the Merlin PSA switches to
asynchronous pacing at the programmed Base Rate in that channel
until noise disappears.
