If the removable large bolt on ashpan is not used
remove ash buildup under the Shaker
Plate daily or as frequently as needed. This area will fill up with ashes that drop through the
“Shaker Plate”. Once this area gets plugged, it will choke off the flow of Combustion Air to the
Burn Pot, causing the flame to be lazy.
The cover below the door is held in
place with magnets. Remove the
cover to access the small Ashpan
door. Behind the door are 2 smaller
ash pans used to remove the ashes
that accumulate around the burn pot
area in the fire box.
