Important system settings are pro

tected against unauthorized access
by a 4-digit Personal Identification
Number (PIN), as protection against
for instance registration and dereg-
istration of the cordless handset
or protection of the Door release
button on the public network tele
-
phone.
In the
System PIN
menu, it is pos
-
sible to individualize the default
PIN number (0000) to any optional
4-digit PIN.
If you forget the PIN, you will
need to reset the base station to
the default settings (see section
“Service > Resetting the base sta
-
tion“).
