15. RESOLVE AIR LOSS IN THE SUP BOARD
ATTENTION: The special adhesive from the repair kit is harmful to health.
!
• Use only with good ventilation.
• Avoid skin and eye contact with the special adhesive. If contacted or
swallowed, seek medical attention.
• Keep children and animals away.
Locate and Repair Leak at the Valve
1. Inflate the SUP board to around 0.5 bar (7 psi) and pour water over it: Look for air bubbles as an
indicator of leaks.
2. heck that the valve protection cap and the seals are intact and
tight.
3. Check that the valve is clean.
4. If necessary, tighten the non-return valve. For this:
- Push the pin of the valve down so that it is locked there.
- Using the special wrench from the repair kit supplied, turn the
pin slightly clockwise.
- If necessary, inflate the SUP board again to around 0.5 bar (7 psi) and pour water over it: look for
air bubbles as an indicator of leaks. Check the valve for leaks.
5. If the non-return valve is tight, dry the valve with a clean cloth and screw on the valve protection cap.
14. PROBLEMS WITH THE SUP BOARD
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
TROUBLESHOOTING
Pressure too high Temperature increase
Relieve some pressure (off the body of water)
Direct sunlight
Avoid direct sun
Pressure too low
Temperature reduction
Carefully inflate harder
Air loss
because
:
- Valve protection cap crooked
or not tight
Screw on the protective cap correctly.
- Valve leaking
Tighten the valve
- Leak in SUP board
Apply patches
In the case of pressure fluctuations, note that heat and direct sunlight increase the air pressure. Cold, on
the other hand, lowers the air pressure: after a cold night, the SUP board can be soft, while it becomes
firmer again as the temperature rises.
• However, always make sure there is no leak!
