Unpack the 4 hp pump (may be Waterway or Pentair brand)
and install as shown in Photo #7 and tighten the union. Next,
attach the suction manifold
to the pump, as shown in
Photo #8 and install the
supplied hoses with
gaskets, paying attention
that the hoses are different
lengths, between the suction
manifold and the corner
suction fittings (ball valves). Note:
depending on the surface, you may or may not need the paver to set the
pump on.
Next you will need to have a electrician install the 220 volt power to
the jet pump. A 220v/30amp control box w/GFCI and air switch is
provided. For safety
reasons, your ON/OFF
function is controlled by a
non-conductive air switch,
allowing you to turn the jet pump on or off while you are wet
and in the pool. The air switch airline (1/8” clear plastic
tubing) connects to a port on the control box (See directions
with the control box) and to the air switch button that is installed into the
ladder platform as shown in Photo #9.
Turning the pumps ON/OFF is done by pressing the air switch button
that was installed on the underside of the ladder platform, on the right
side.
Before turning on the pump, open the valve on the jet manifold, open
the valve on the suction manifold and open the ball valves on the
corners of the pool. Press the air button and enjoy your new
SuperStream Pro.
Adjusting the Jets
The jets are adjustable for direction only. To aim, move the nozzle to the desired direction WITH THE
PUMPS OFF. Aiming the jets may take a few moments because personal preference will determine where
they will be pointed. As a preliminary set-up, both jets should aim to a single point in the middle of the pool,
at the surface of the water and approx. 4’ from the jets in the center of the pool. A piece of
¾
” rigid PVC
approx. 4’ long inserted into the jet nozzle can be helpful in the aiming process.
There is a round black patch welded on the bottom of the pool. The spot is a target to be used when
swimming, to enable the swimmer to stay in the middle of the pool and in the current.
