Winding the Bobbin in Preparation for Lower Threading
CAUTION —
The 60609 swing machine uses a BO-103(Z) style bobbin. Use of any
unapproved bobbin could damage the machine or result in poor
performance. Always stop sewing before winding the bobbin.
To wind the bobbin in preparation for lower threading, stop sewing, open the top cover, and perform the
following steps:
1. Place the spool of thread onto the spool pin and pull the thread past the bobbin winder thread guide
as shown.
2. Pass the end of the thread through the bobbin and place the bobbin onto the bobbin winder shaft.
3. Push the bobbin to the right until it reaches the bobbin winder stopper.
4. Use the foot controller or the Start/Stop key to wind the thread around the bobbin. Release the foot
controller or press the
Start/Stop key and cut the end of the thread when the bobbin is full. The
bobbin will automatically stop winding when it is full, but the machine will continue running until
stopped.
When bobbin winding is completed, push the bobbin winder back to the left position to return to
sewing. Remove the bobbin from the shaft.
When the bobbin winder spindle is in the “bobbin winding” position, the machine will not
sew and the hand wheel will not turn. To start sewing, push the bobbin winder spindle to
the left (“sewing position”).
