Chapter 13. Services (Network Dependent) 

13.1 SIM Tool Kit 

 

SIM Tool Kit is a service provided by your network service provider. Contact 
your service provider for details. 

 

13.2 WAP 

 

WAP (stands for Wireless Application Protocol) is to mobile devices what www 
(world wide web) is to computers. WAP allows mobile device users to access 
Internet. 

 

Services menu provides you the WAP browser to view news, weather reports, 
check flight times and etc. You can save the address of any WAP page as a 
bookmark, just like a web page on your PC computer. 

 

You may have to subscribe to additional services before you can use the 
browser. Besides, the service provider may have to configure your phone for 
browsing after your subscription. Contact your service provider for details. 

 

Internet connection creates security issues. Talk to your service provider for 
any method to be used to avoid security problems. 

 

It's usually that your service provider has created it's own homepage and 
configured your browser to go to this page when you select Homepage in 
Internet Services menu (WAP menu). Once connected to the homepage, you 
can link to other WAP sites. 

 

Depends on different service providers, you might find different items in 
Internet Services menu (WAP menu). 

 

WAP settings:

: Shows a list of all saved bookmarks.
