7.3 Preventive Maintenance
It is assumed that with a system in regular use and that the system was installed in a suitable
environment and in regular use, faults will be repaired as they occur.
To maintain the equipment to the best operating conditions a maintenance schedule is
suggested as part of a fault prevention programme, the following items are suggested to be
included in such a programme. The frequency of checking will depend on the usage of the
equipment.

Inspect all connections (gas and water) for signs of wear, any leakage from
pipes and that they are securely retained in position. X
