6.4. SPECIFICATIONS
WHAT DOES THE NUMBERS MEAN IN THE HELIX OF A RACE DRONE?
L (long) x P (pitch) x N (number of blades)
• The first number is the size of the helix in inches.
•
The second set of numbers indicates the pitch of the helix in inches.
• The last number will specify the number of propeller blades.
In addition, you can also add letters;
•
BN , Bullnose, type of trimmed propeller.
The Bullnose type are not very efficient but they get a greater boost and their consumption
is high. This is due to the fact that they have a greater surface area than you finish them in
tip.
• R , Propellers that must be mounted on the motor clockwise.
• L , Propellers that must be mounted on the motor counter clockwise.
